The Annie Grace Foundation was founded in 2014 by cousins who saw the need for change in our communities. Although we were never afforded the opportunity to meet our maternal grandmother, her spirit is ever present in our daily walks. Annie Grace McCullough, the mother of 5 outstanding children, constantly reminded them that education was the key to success, while most mothers were pushing their children into the work force. Because of her efforts to promote education, all of her children received post-secondary accomplishments. In turn passing the same lust for greater onto their offspring. Whenever we speak to my mothers or fathers, or any of aunts or uncles, the admiration in their voices for our grandmother is unremarkable. It amazes us to know that one woman can still possess the power to shape lives years after her untimely death.
